Salut Chat
The Salut Chat is a friendly and secured instant messaging solution that offers live, one to one, communication between Coaches and their clients.
It works with a simple Internet browser e.g. Firefox, Internet Explorer, and allows communication without additional third party messaging software, like MSN, or Skype.
It includes the following features:
- A secured message board for where coach and participants can leave messages to each other outside the chat sessions.
- A simple browser interface that avoids potential connection problems due to institutional restrictions on use of third party instant messengers.
- Data encryption of all exchanged messages to ensure privacy.
- Follow up tools such as transcripts for Coaches and participants
The Salut Chat could be used for online counselling, life style intervention or therapeutic support. It is currently used by the following institutions:
- Enheten för Barnneuropsykiatri (BNK), in Goteborg, Sweden and the VårdalInstitutet in Lund is using the program in a pilot study in providing remote support to adults with ADHD, Autism spectrum disorders.
- Neuropsykiatriska utredningsenheten, Solhem, Södra Älvsborgs sjukhus (Borås)
